Dear Participants!

Until the Corona breakout more than 1.700 participants have already signed up for the Salzkammergut Trophy 2020. Unfortunately a lot has changed since then! As there are still no relevant statutory regulations regarding mass sports events, any additional registrations for the race scheduled on July 18th are not possible anymore! It will be defiantly not the major event such as it had been the past years. However we still have hope hosting a smaller sports event and we are working hard taxing our brains how we could organize a „Trophy Light“

In addition we also developed an alternative race format which enables to tackle the Trophy course individually until end of October. Those participants who already signed up may re-register immediately upon request for this option!

The course of the 2020 Salzkammergut Trophy will be sign posted and equipped with a permanent timing from the beginning of July for four months. All participants for the “Trophy individual” may choose any date until end of October – except July 18 & 19 – for tackling the courses and comparing themselves in online ranking. In order to avoid dangerous high-speed crashes, the timing will be limited to the climbs respectively flat passages outside residential areas. On the transfer tracks one can take a break, visit a lodge and enjoy the breathtaking landscape of the Salzkammergut.

The necessary starting kit including the transponder for timing costs 29 Euros and may be collected after a successful Online-entry at the local tourism offices as well bike stores; respectively will also be shipped upon request when registering until June 15.

With the race number one can participate as often as desired and therefore not only improve one’s timing but also challenge different courses! However Gravel and E-bikes need their own race number! In addition three permanent running courses between 5 and 21 km are planned as well as a mountain run!

All those who prefer the new race format or are hesitating about the actual race date July 18 we offer the following:

Option 1 – re-register for „Trophy individual“
In case there is a credit balance regarding the starting fee we are happy to offer you the following:
1a) Donate the difference to the MTB Club Salzkammergut
1b) transfer the difference as credit for Trophy 2021 resp. 2022
1c) choose something from the Trophy-Collection (e.g. bike socks, Jersey, ...)

Option 2 – re-register for 2021
It is possible to postpone your registration to next year. We will guarantee a starting slot for the Trophy 2021 on the same course, even if the entry fee should be increased.

Option 3 – hoping for the original race date
It is also possible to keep your registration for July 18, 2020 active. We would inform you by mid of June or as soon as any decisions by the authorities are made.

What about the additional services?
Ordered items from the Trophy-Collection may be collect together with the starting package or will be shipped upon request.

The 24h-mountain rescue insurance will be still valid with option 2 and option 3. In case of re-registering for “Trophy individual“ you will receive a voucher code which may be redeemed at www.nuernberger.at/bergschutz for any day.

Donations made to the Debra Children will be handed over at the end of the season to DEBRA
