The unicyclist community is gaining more and more fans! Meanwhile the downhill race in Bad Goisern has become a popular highlight within the muni scene with world class participants such as David Weichenberger from Linz, Rulf Jakub from Czech Republic and Sterward Ziga from Slovenia.
It’s great fun watching this spectacle varying – depending on the weather – from a mud battle to a dust cloud. The mass start for this sensational competition is at the Berghotel Predigstuhl where the daredevils are tackling a 4.1 km long downhill with 500 m altitude difference along hiking trails and former toboggan run!

The Course
The course is rated among the longest and most difficult one in Europe. The race in Bad Goisern is also part of the legendary "Taste Of Mud” race series. Spectators can easily access either by bike or car the Rathlucka Lodge which is located directly at the race track.
State Championships
Bad Goisern is also hosting the Austrian Muni-Downhill Championships. Besides the general league, furthermore the U15 class and the category Masters for men are awarded with titles.
