The best spots for visitors!

Those who would like to witness the whole race as spectators also need some staying power! For the best spots just check course map. On request we are happy to send you a copy via mail. (Tel.: +43 6135-8329, info@trophy.at)

The most beautiful spots for visitors and coaches are also accessible by helicopter. We offer a helicopter shuttle service to the Roßalm on Saturday starting at 7:30 am from Bad Goisern and from Gosau-Hintertal starting at noon. However it is also possible to make a helicopter tour and see the whole course from the bird's eye view on Friday from noon.

Prices:
a small helicopter tour over the racing area (6 min.) € 40,-- (children up to 14 years € 35,--)
a shuttle flight to the Hütteneckalm or to the Rossalm (round trip) € 58,-- (children up to 14 years € 50,--)

Visitors' Spot Hütteneckalm

Highlight:
Breath-taking view of the Hallstätter Lake and the Dachstein Glacier

Access: Just take the helicopter shuttle, flying weather permitting! By car it is only possible going from Bad Goisern via the Lasern Street to the mountain hotel Predigstuhl (plenty of parking spaces available). The last five kilometres have to be done by foot (hiking trail towards the Zwerchwand). By bike also via the Lasern Street to the mountain hotel Predigtstuhl continuing on the forest road via Roßmoosalm to Hütteneckalm (11,2 km - about 850 meter change in altitude)

Passage Times:
Course A - 1st passage from 06.10 am until 07.15 Uhr, 2nd from 9.45 am until 13.00 pm
Course B - from 10.00 am until 11.40 pm
Course C - from 12.30 am until 16.20 pm

Visitors' Spot Rathlucka Hütte

Highlight:
Breath-taking view of the Ewige Wand (Eternal Wall) - Don't forget the binoculars! Great downhill on the former toboggan run!

Access:
by car from Bad Goisern via Lasern Street towards mountain hotel Predigstuhl. Make a left turn at the game reserve downhill towards Rathlucka cottage. (4,7 km - about 300 meters change in altitude)

Passage Times:
Course A - 1st passage from 06.20 am until 07.40 am, 2nd passage from 9.55 am until 13.30 pm
Course B - from 10.15 am until 12.10 pm
Course C - from 12.45 am until 17.00 pm


Visitors' Spot Lauffen

Highlight:
crossing of the "Wilden Lauffen” (rapids of the Traun) at theWindensteg (bridge), spectacular downhill through a narrow alley withsteps, great viewing terrace for spectators.

Access:
by car or bike about 3.5 kilometers along the B145 towards Bad Ischl.

Passage Times:
see Weißenbach (- 5 minutes)


Visitors' Spot Weißenbach

Highlight:
All bikers have to pass this point, those of the long distance course even three times; music and entertainment, difficult downhill along the Jochwand

Access:
by car or bike along the B145 towards Bad Ischl. After 2.5 kilometres make a left turn towards Weißenbachtal. (parking available at the Urstöger inn)

Passage Times:
Course A - 1st passage from 06.30 am until 08.00 am, 2nd passage from 10.10 am until 15.00 pm, 3rd passage from 11.10 am until 16.00 pm
Course B - from 10.20 am until 12.40 pm
Course C - from 12.55 am until 17.20 pm
Course D - from 12.00 am until 13.05 pm
Course E - from 12.10 am until 12.30 pm


VISITORS' Spot Hallstatt - Salzberg

Highlight:
After 11 hair-pin bends up to the famous Hallstätter Burial Grounds and to the oldest saltmine in the world the steepest part of the course with more then 30% is waiting for the participants. For the vistors a breathtaking view towards the lake and sourrounding mountains as well as the popular host Engelbert Buttinger is waiting!

Access:
By car on the B166 towards Hallstatt-Lahn (ca. 11 km). A great experience is also the journey by train and the ferry boat! From Lahn resp. also from the town center one can walk along the Salzbergweg (Nr. 640) to the Hochtal in about 30-40 minutes. With the Salt Mine Train it's a little faster. (Tarifinfo)

Course A - from 12.10 pm until 05:00 pm
Course B - from 11.20 am until 02:50 pm


Visitors' Spot Gosau-Hintertal, Valley station Panoramajet

Highlight:
the course runs directly through the pavilion, music and entertainment,

Access:
by car on road B166 towards Gosausee (about 21 km) or with the shuttle bus.

AP8 Hallstatt/Lahn (access via B166 to Hallstatt and continue towards Obertraun)
AP9 Gosau/Hintertal (B166 to Gosau, then towards Gosausee)
AP10 Gosau/Klaushof (B166 until shortly before Gosau)
AP11 Gosaumühle/ parking spaces (B166 until shortly before the intersection towards Gosau)

Attention:
Participants whose coach drives with a motorized vehicle on the course are going to be disqualified!
